Actalent Electrical Engineer in Wichita, Kansas
Description:
The Electrical Engineer may work in various disciplines including mechanical engineering, Electronics, aircraft, including FAA documents, and aircraft mechanics. Depending on the product, the engineer may be responsible for creating original designs from a general idea or may act as an intermediary, creating electronic versions of technical drawings created by engineers or designers. Engineers should be conversant in inventory drawing record keeping and BOM systems assembly drawings for production. They will move from discipline to discipline every day. On larger projects, the person works as part of a team with other technicians, each one working on a separate part of the project. Work environment varies by industry as well. The Engineer may work in a factory, on a construction site, or in an office setting
Daily Tasks
• Use CADD software to modify, process and label drafting, and drawings.
• Solid works
• Orcad
• Netsuite
• Quick Books
• Integrate other sources of information or data by adding to drawings.
• Works in Engineering Environment.
• Communicate with customers, engineers, and others about properties of drawings and products assemblies.
• Print, bind, and prepare physical copies of drawings.
• Able to build items that are designed by the engineer.
