Cummins Inc. Engine Workshop Technician - Level II in Wichita, Kansas
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Engine Workshop Technician to join our Distribution business in Wichita, KS.
You will make an impact in the following ways:
Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Maintain own tools
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Previous experience as a Medium & Heavy-Duty repair technician
Complex engine repair and full overhaul
Troubleshooting of wiring, powertrain and chassis is a plus
Previous experience with engine diagnostics and technical problem solving
Electrical experience is a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
A current valid license is required for this role
Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
