Spirit AeroSystems Engineering Support Specialist - Change and Configuration Management in Wichita, Kansas

Responsibilities

Key accountabilities: Multiple positions open. Not all skills listed below will be needed but preferred. The position will be based on experience ranging from entry level to subject matter expert.

· Develop, document, and coordinate implementation of policies, processes, practices, procedures, standards, and specifications for the development, test, manufacture, and production of products, systems, and equipment in accordance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.

· Apply business and management principles to deploy processes in compliance with customer, company and regulatory requirements including control of product configuration, management of product configuration information, and maintenance of configuration accountability records.

· Implement, plan, and manage changes to product configurations and product configuration information.

· Verify that product configuration, subcontract deliverables, and prime contract deliverables are in compliance with applicable requirements.

· Review and coordinate with other disciplines, customers, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors to monitor compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.

· Apply knowledge of external standard development organizations (e.g. SAE, ASME, DOD, etc.) and the company's internal governance structures, policies, and procedures.

Develop, document, and coordinate implementation of policies, processes, practices, procedures, standards, and specifications for control of Product Configuration Information and baseline product and program configuration information, and changes thereto, related to development, test, manufacture, and production of products, systems, and equipment. Working knowledge of EIA-649 is essential.

· Create configuration management plans, including technical and management processes, for unique program/product requirements in accordance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.

· Verify that product configuration, subcontract deliverables, and prime contract deliverables are in compliance with applicable requirements.

· Review and coordinate with other disciplines, customers, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors to monitor compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.

· Apply knowledge of external standard development organizations (e.g. AS9100, SAE, ASME, DOD, etc.) and the company's internal governance structures, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· Level of position will be based on years of experience plus education. All levels considered.

· Proficient with Microsoft office products.

· Experience with SAP and/or CERP programs.

· 0-2 years in change control within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred experience:

· Auditing or working within an audit team to confirm document approvals and process analysis.

· Leadership experience and ability to drive results.
