Position Overview:
The Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in supporting our engineering department by assisting with various technical tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our engineering processes. The Engineering Techicianfabricates, maintains, modifies existing composite and aluminum tooling, prototype molds, fixtures, templates, and shop aids with RTM, VARTM, wet layup or other processes; and assists Engineering personnel in the research, design, development and experimental fabrication of new products and processes. Other production work will be delegated as required.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve technical issues
- Assist with the design and development of engineering projects using AutoCAD and other design software
- Collect and analyze data to support engineering experiments and tests
- Create detailed CAD drawings, schematics, and diagrams
- Collaborate with engineers to develop and maintain technical documentation
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment or systems as needed
- Assist with the installation, calibration, and maintenance of equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deadlines are met
