The Facilities Technicians responsibility is to secure and maintain the surrounding property, facility, and perform a variety of work in the general maintenance of buildings, facilities, and equipment. Performs a variety of work in the maintenance of buildings and grounds at various facilities/sites including floors, showers, sinks, walls, roofs, and carpets; performs minor troubleshooting, repairs, changes filters on heating, ventilating and air conditioning units; reports mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party for action; moves and assists in moving furniture and equipment at various facilities/sites; maintains clean, safe, and orderly work sites.
Essential Functions:
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Support emergency preparedness activities\ Changes filters on heating, ventilation and air conditioning units.\ Reports mechanical malfunctions to the appropriate party for action.\ Sets up and breaks down cubical partitions and office furniture.\ Exercises discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of a higher skilled craft person.\ Responsible for maintenance of property, including parking lots, walking paths, and patios\ Special events and weekend requirements as needed.\ Qualifications and Requirements:
Must have valid drivers license\ Experienced in working with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tools and equipment\ Thorough knowledge of HVAC systems and measuring areas and materials\ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills\ Additional duties and responsibilities may be added to this position description as needed.
