Position Specific Responsibilities
WSUis currently looking for a Facilities Planning Project Manager to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for problem solving issues that arise, managing project schedules and deliverables, working with contractors, reviewing technical documents and schematics, and creating conceptual designs. Summary of Responsibilities
Manages assigned construction project(s) to meet department objectives. Coordinates with end user, design team, state agencies, purchasing and general contractors as needed to ensure project(s) meet quality standards, specifications, budgets and timeline deliverables. Provides insight and direction to leadership to ensure projects are properly prioritized and completed.
Essential Functions
Collaborates with others to manage the implementation of small capital construction projects to ensure successful project outcomes.\ Manages project process from permitting to bidding through submittals and project close-out and warranty process.\ Manages and reports project budget, including construction and project soft costs, from initial estimating through completion.\ Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team(s).\ Monitors construction project life-cycle and communicates quality and progress metrics to department and/or staff(s).\ Manages risks, barriers, and issues of complex project(s) to ensure goals remain on track.
