Maintain company book of accounts by preparing, collecting, and analyzing accounting data to communicate financial information to company organizations and external customers.
Provide financial guidance and recommendations to management, customers, and employees.
Ensure compliance with government laws and regulations, policies, and professional standards.
Develop and implement new accounting methods and processes, as well as improvements to automated accounting systems.
Identify and resolves complex financial issues.
Support Government agency (DCAA/DCMA) audits and reviews as well as internal audits to ensure continued compliance.
Identify weaknesses and recommend solutions to mitigate issues and strengthen processes or adherence to the processes.
Troubleshoot process and tool issues to determine root cause and corrective actions.
Set up indirect labor and non-labor charge-lines, resolve data discrepancies, and close out charge-lines as required.
Coordinate integration of Defense data into total Company rollups.
Work on continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen process, tools, and resources for compliance, efficiency, transparency, collaboration, to improve profitability and to support Defense business growth.
Required Skills and Experience:
This role requires US Citizenship
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (Secret level or above).
Either a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related course of study with a minimum of 6 years of related work experience OR an MBA with a minimum of 4 years of related work experience
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong background / competency in SAP is preferred
