Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of major helmet programs (such as NG IHPS, SOCOM). As required, lead the execution of non-government helmet programs.
- Serve as the primary LTC customer interface to government helmet program customers.
- Establish program schedules to ensure contractual delivery schedules are met and all required regulatory (i.e., DCMA) scheduling requirements are included.
- Compile a program requirement (technical, programmatic, regulatory, etc.) listing. Establish functional ownership for implementation and compliance verification.
- Lead preparations and readiness planning for NG IHPS First Article Testing (FAT)
- Ensure factory is both FAT and production ready in timeframe that supports schedule commitments.
- Develop and complete a customer FAT requirements compliance/verification matrix prior to submittal of FAT articles and documentation.
- Serve as a knowledge and experience resource for the helmet business segment for production, engineering, supply chain and quality. Learn and have a basic understanding of the rest of the Personal Protection business unit (i.e., plates and shields).
- Evaluate and assess helmet programs strengths, weaknesses, risks, and issues. As appropriate, develop mitigation and resolution plans.
- Develop program/project management resources across the business unit (teach/train).
- Work with Business Development to make sure new facility and products meets the LTCs vision of what the Theatre brand should look like.
- Lead by example in demonstrating LTCs culture and values.
