ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following: Provide telephone and/or email technical assistance to resolve field product operation problems. Handles inquiries from users on a variety of software and hardware issues. Assists users with installation of software and troubleshooting of related problems; refers more complicated issues to appropriate staff. Identify customer repair part requirements and create orders to ship parts. Work closely with Engineering on product issues while communicating regularly with other members of the support team to discuss recurring problems and to share solutions and best practices. Limited travel to solve product operation problems and assist customers with training/application needs. Must have knowledge of air conditioning refrigeration systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks at once. Ability to give clear-cut direction over the telephone and through email. Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively. Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills ability to deal with upset customers in a professional and timely manner. Performs other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. COMPUTER SKILLS Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Proficient computer skills and ability to learn database and ordering systems; systems can include AS400 and Infor. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from service centers. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills, multitasking abilities, and the ability to communicate written and orally. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages and the aptitude for detailed investigation of results. REASONING ABILITIES Ability to identify and describe practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
