The Role:

  • Provide business leadership in support of the Program Management Office and Program Manager of a stand-alone program or major business/program element, where business needs dictate

  • Responsible for the day-to-day performance management baseline, including establishing the programs organization and work breakdown structures

  • Reporting, visibility, and communication of strategic and operational program activities necessary to achieve defined program objectives and business plans

    Key Accountabilities:

  • Managing all business requirements that support the program; maintaining the Program Tier 0 and Tier 2 masterplan/schedule

  • Establishing and managing the program cadence; reporting program performance; maintaining the program communication plan

  • Maintaining the program affordability cost model; developing and maintaining the Program Management Plan; Ensuring robust change management controls

  • Maintaining the program organization structure and associated documentation

  • Supporting the implementation of program management standards and best practices; coordinating the baselines and associated change activity for program finances



  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of related experience OR a Master’s degree plus 6 years of related experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and team-based environment

  • Ability to prioritize requests from multiple sources and support requirements

  • Self-motivated; taking ownership of projects and issues, including follow through to closure and resolution

  • Performance management experience

  • Experience with Change Management, Risk Management, Affordability Management, Development and/or sustaining programs

  • Experience with Developing Proposals and Estimating, Operating in a matrix organization, Integrated Program Planning and Scheduling, and Cross-functional project management

  • Experience leading Integrated Business Teams (IBT's)

  • Experience with Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma

  • Experience in Aerospace

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

  • Advanced MS Office Suite, Excel, Power Point skills

  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities in the following: Financial Acumen, Business Acumen, Managing with Influence, Interpersonal relationships and communication, Team building, and Continuous improvement
