Job Description We are building a team of geo-focused Inside Cloud Specialist (ICS) to grow VMware’s Cloud Business. The Inside Cloud Specialist, VMware Cloud on AWS in the Americas will be a core member of the team generating demand for our cloud services with a focus on acquiring new account through aggressive prospecting activities. The ICS owns a revenue quota number along with the VMC Field Cloud Specialist and is responsible for collaborating with our core Sales teams, Partner Sales teams, and AWS. Knowledge of computer hardware and/or software sales is a must. An understanding of and passion for the Cloud or Software- as-a-Service marketplace is a plus. Experience selling Amazon Web Services is a strong plus Job Responsibilities: §Own and drive sales motions to Commercial One accounts with VMC on AWS offerings.§Develop a sales plan for the assigned territory in conjunction with the Commercial field sales team§Identify new sales opportunities within existing VMware Commercial customers, to qualify opportunities and drive demand.§Using SFDC, maintain and lead detailed and accurate quarterly forecast§Work in a highly collaborative environment with AWS, Core Account Managers, Marketing, and Channel Partners to drive joint solutions and revenue§Develop a predictable pipeline of short, mid, and long-term business.§Identify use cases to move workloads to the cloud §Empower and build relationships with extended teams to unlock the power of AWS and partner ecosystem.§Establish relationships with VMC certified partner base and identify potential new sellers in territory.§Manage the sales process and drive deals to closure focus on net new logos §Build & drive pipeline within assigned territory for VMC on AWS§Ability to present VMC solution on AWS to customers and prospects effectively via remote demos and presentations.§Periodic travel (less than 20%) to meet with sales, partners, and customers and to attend industry forums, tradeshows and events as required.Metrics:§Quarterly & Annual Plan Attainment§Forecast accuracy§SFDC Hygiene (contacts, forecasts, notes)§Pipeline funnel growth and close rates§VMC core participation with C1 by increasing active sellers and % of VMC business§Partner enablement (e.g. # of sellers trained)§Sales enablement activities Who you are: §Energizing – Creative and hardworking§Organized – On top of everything§Phenomenal teammate – Collaborative environment§Positive –Brings solutions, not problems§Passionate – Love what you do § Shows up every single day with willingness to learn, passion for customer delight, and a desire to have fun while improving the lives of others Background Requirements: §Bachelors degree required§4-6 years of sales experience in software, SaaS
Strong experience with prospecting into new accounts. This is a hunter role.§Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and ability to multitask§An unwavering positive attitude, strong drive for results, and the ability to deal with ambiguity are a must§Attention to detail and understanding of subscription sales and ordering.§Need to be familiar with computers and technology and comfortable using the Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Outlook#CloudSales
