INTRUST Bank Intern - Graphic Design in Wichita, Kansas

Job Summary: Assist the graphic designer with projects for use across all media. Define, manage, and complete a capstone design project with opportunities to network with other bank employees. Expand current skills and knowledge of graphic design principles and practices with a dedicated mentorship and defined project work. Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Must maintain strict standards of confidentiality and perform duties in a manner supporting INTRUST’s Character Qualities.

Each on-the job internship experience will be unique to the business unit, but other common internship elements include:

Essential Functions:

  • All expectations described in the job description’s essential functions are necessary to be successful in this role, performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Concept, design, edit, and produce graphic art and visual materials for print and digital media in a variety of styles and for use on a variety of platforms.

  • Work with the marketing team and internal stakeholders to create designs that are aligned with brand guidelines and INTRUST goals and objectives.

  • Gain exposure to how marketing strategy and objectives inform design work.

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned to support the marketing department.

  • Use Adobe Creative Suite in Microsoft environment.

Education and Experience: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a graphic design or marketing major/concentration. Preferably will be entering final year of undergraduate studies, if applicable. Interest in photography, animation, or videography a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel) preferred.

Required Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of design principles and layout fundamentals. Experience working in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign required; knowledge of Adobe Express, Lightroom, Premiere, and AfterEffects a plus. Ability to quickly learn and operate within brand guidelines. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Desire to gain exposure to and understanding of marketing strategy. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills – both oral and written. Ability to execute work independently and accurately.

Physical Demands: Extended period(s) of time may be spent viewing a personal computer, sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. The physical demands necessary for this role should be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions: Normal office conditions.
