An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our Software Development team workinghands-on with a group of skilled developers and delivering innovative solutions to meet our business needs. Primary work will be converting legacy mainframe systems to java.

This role offers challenges across a wide variety of projects and responsibilities involved with building and maintaining applications and services for our business partners and customers.

*This position will be hired at the Developer I, Developer II, Developer III, or Lead Developer level.

What youll do

• While being highly technical and hands-on capable, you will perform development activities in support of our business applications.
• Managing the successful delivery of projects following the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Working closely with fellow Developers and Software Architects, will require continuous learning and improvement, to ensure deployment of solutions that meet software development best practices, standards and guidelines.
• Solid technical skills and positive influence will ensure you can lead and assist other developers with system design, coding practices, unit tests and proper deployment methods.\ \

What you need

Entry level positions requires the following:

• Bachelor\'s Degree with at least 12 credit hours in Computer Science including successful completion of at least one intermediate or advanced programming language course is required.

Intermediate or advanced level positions require the following:

• Minimum of two years of experience in application development, with a thorough knowledge of at least one programming language, is required.

Bonus if you have

• Familiarity with or proven experience in the delivery of high-quality solutions utilizing Java (JEE), JSF, JavaScript, Web Services (SOAP, RESTful), Java Batch (JSR352), DB2 SQL, COBOL.
• Familiarity with Rational Software Architect (RSA) or Eclipse, GIT, Maven WebSphere Application Servers (WAS Traditional and Liberty).
• Familiarity and/or willingness to learn mainframe processes as we convert them to java.
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint).
• Health care experience is a plus.
