POSITION SUMMARY\ Assists in all functional areas of the Nutrition Services department including, but not limited to staffing, scheduling, training, ordering, food production, meal service, resident documentation, and resident interviews.
\ PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates the assignments of the Nutrition Services staff, providing leadership to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Provides coverage for shifts when necessary due to employee absence.
Prepares or directs the preparation of food.
Supervises or assists in cleaning procedures to ensure safety and sanitary conditions are maintained.
Effectively communicates policies, expected outcomes, efficient work routines, and work procedures to the Nutrition Services staff.
Schedules, orients and trains Nutrition Services employees.
Interviews residents and documents in residents medical record.
Other duties as assigned.
\ MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
In the absence of the Director, shall have administrative authority over and responsibility.\ for the functions and activities of the department.\ Catholic Care Center Kitchen Manager Page 2
Monitors staff compliance with infection control, personal protection equipment, blood\ borne pathogens, hazardous material handling and fire safety.
Participates in the employee evaluation process by providing information on the\ performance of staff.
