Title:Lead Teller
POSITION SUMMARY:Assists in administration/supervision of the teller area as delegated by the Teller Supervisor or Retail Coordinator.Responsible for performing Teller duties (Providing excellent customer service and promoting Bank products/services while processing transactions and paying out funds in accordance with Bank procedures, regulatory and legal compliance requirements.).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides ongoing training and support to Tellers by providing input to the Teller Supervisor / Retail Coordinator on performance reviews, participating in new Teller training and mentoring.
- Assists the Teller Supervisor / Retail Coordinator in preparing Teller work schedules, reviewing Teller work on a regular basis and conducting Teller audits.
- Handles more complex customer issues that may be referred to the Lead Teller from other Tellers.
- Performs Teller duties while professionally assisting customers with concerns and/or questions that may be mentioned during the transaction and referring to supervisor or other departments as needed.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Proven quality customer service experience.
- Minimum on (1) year of consecutive, current and proven success handling cash.
- Leadership & Teller experience required.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING:
High school
JOB-SPECIFIC SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Thorough knowledge of teller services and customer service/relations.
- Basic clerical and processing skills.
- Strong reading, writing and mathematical skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Individuals in this position must be able to perform essential functions and physical demands within these documented working conditions with or without reasonable accommodation:
This position is in an office environment within a climate-controlled facility. There is frequent use of the telephone, computer and other office equipment associated with this position, as well as large amount of face-to-face interaction with customers. Lead Tellers may be required to stand for extended periods of time and may be required to lift bags/boxes of coin weighing up to 50 pounds.
The individual responsible for this role must be able to perform job functions with general supervision and work effectively as a member of a team or independently.The individual must be capable of working harmoniously with diverse personalities of co-workers, staff and internal customers.This position requires regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work varying hours and Saturdays.
