Description

We are hiring immediately for Skin Stretch Machine Operator.

What you will be doing as a Skin Stretch Machine Operator:

You can expect to setup , adjust, and operate machine ry to various aircraft skins . Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) :

Operating and Program Development :

+

Set up and adjust a tape-controlled stretching machine

+

P hysically load required contours to shape sheet metal parts into various forms

+

Use DNC software to develop and adjust programming for machine operation sequences and speeds as needed

+

Maintain program files and setup sheets for future production efficiency

+

Consider the material characteristics being used along with the machine capacity

Tool Use and Inspection:

+

U tilize hand-forming tools ( e.g. Dotcos , drills, sanders, shears, hammers )

+

Operate power transportation and lifting equipment ( e.g. overhead crane)

+

Regularly inspect tools to prevent breakage during use

What you need to be successful:

High School education, GED, or a Bronze Level WorkKeys certification is required

Minimum 1 year of stretching machine or related experience is required

Ability to lift heavy materials and tools is helpful

Comfortable using catwalks over heights ranging from 4-15 feet
