TITLE: Manager, Quality
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
The Quality Manager leads, directs, coordinates, and performs activities associated with the Quality Management System (QMS) at Wichita, KS and New Braunfels, TX manufacturing facilities. This includes responsibility for developing strategic plan, quality policies, processes, and procedures, as well as process improvements and corrective actions.
Key responsibilities for this position include the following:
Lead all quality activities and initiatives
Utilize analytics to develop, establish and implement quality improvement initiatives
Drive and support product regulatory compliance activities
Implement and support quality policies, procedures, and quality system development
Drive the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and coordination of prototype, pre-launch, and launch part qualification runs with suppliers and manufacturing
Review, conduct and approve control plans, process flow diagrams, Process Failure Modes Effects and Analysis (PFMEA), Gage R&R’s
Lead, mentor and develop direct report(s)
Manage quality customer complaint process and metrics
Develop quality metric goals annually and provide KPI reports
Conduct audits and determine proper corrective and preventive actions
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Plastics experience is a plus)
5+ years of leadership experience
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience is preferred
Thorough knowledge of quality methods and systems (statistics, reliability, sampling, and auditing)
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Quality Engineer (CQE) or Quality Manager (CQM) is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
