Our techs have a wide range of duties to integrate powerful software and hardware solutions that monitor and optimize CNC machine tool performance for today\'s leading manufacturers. The ideal tech has previous service experience in the CNC machine tool world and is eager to learn, deliver, and support our full range of software and hardware products across aerospace, medical, oil and gas, and other manufacturing industries that utilize CNC machine tools.
IES develops and markets its XMC line of software products, used by manufacturers around the world to measure, visualize, and improve the health and performance of critical machine tools and automated equipment. IES enhances its solutions with advanced CNC machine optimization products ranging from tool monitoring to adaptive control to sensor analysis.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MANUFACTURING INTEGRATION TECHNICIAN:
Travel to our customers to install, configure, test, and troubleshoot XMC software solutions and Caron Engineering machine hardware optimization products
Train customers on use of our products and solutions
Build strong customer relationships by providing outstanding customer service and demonstrating technical mastery of our solutions
Increase technical proficiency with all XMC machine analytics software products and machine tool optimization products from Caron Engineering
Schedule and prepare for upcoming product installations
Consult with other team members, internal departments, and external vendors to resolve issues related to installation and support of our products
Document project information and complete reports as required for work records
Purchase and maintain inventory of products and software
Comply with IES and customer site safety standards
TO JOIN THE TEAM, YOU SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
2-year degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent work experience in manufacturing environments
CNC machine operation, service, or CNC programming experience preferred
Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
Proficient with diagnostic tools and hand/power tools
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows, PC networking, and installation of PC software and hardware
Proficient with MS Office apps; basic database or scripting/programming skills a big plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-directed and able to work independently with effective planning and organizational skills
Willing and able to travel (by car or plane) 50%-60% of the time
Manual and visual dexterity to assemble small parts and products
Ability to lift a 70-pound travel kit into and out of an automobile trunk
Extended periods of standing
Valid driver\'s license in state of primary residence required
