**Position will be located in the Lawrence, Wichita or Topeka location.Provide support and strategy recommendations inclusive of both internal and external market data to improve productivity, management resources, support sales and marketing strategies, the provider community, internal senior management, the corporate decision process, and corporate strategy. Provide technical, analytical, statistical and consulting analysis for market research and competitive intelligence, processing and analysis activities as they relate to corporate and management information requirements and present results and strategic recommendations to management and cross-functional strategy teams. Maintain analysis databases for all marketing channel activities and reporting. This includes the analysis of marketing channels to determine their success and help determine future marketing strategy.


Job Description


Essential Functions

+ Lead research, framing, and creating compelling and accessible content on strategic options that impact Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas as a whole, across markets and functions.

+ Direct cross-functional strategy teams supporting corporate strategy initiatives led by market research.

+ Develop and deliver presentations, briefings, white papers, and other communications in a compelling, visually-driven, and informative manner.

+ Develop and evaluate market studies and surveys as required and report results to senior management.

+ Utilizes broader research and interpretation, relationships, and tailored communications to create alignment, support, and action.

+ Analyze and ensure the validity and reliability of data within market research and related systems, and report the results to management.

+ Analysis of the results of all marketing channel campaigns.

+ All corporate research studies including their planning, reporting and support.

+ Provide data for the development of forecasts for planning and goal setting. This data is required annually and is utilized as the foundation for developing the annual budget.

+ Collects, develops and maintains market analysis information for Plan-wide use and distribution, particularly related to corporate and market strategic planning.

+ Prepares/distributes written and oral communications on market data and their implications for sales staff and sales management (and others as appropriate).

Qualifications


Education


Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Economics or related degrees with a strong background in computers, mathematics and statistics. Master's preferred.


Formal education in primary research and analysis including focus groups, surveys and statistical analysis including regression, correlation and conjoint analysis.


Formal education in market research, consumer behavior, strategy and database design.




Experience

+ 3 years of data interpretation and analysis experience.

+ Minimum of 3 years experience in survey or secondary data analysis preferred.

+ Advanced understanding of the healthcare industry preferred.

+ 5 years of experience in market research consulting, strategy, product development or a related business function.

+ Technical knowledge to include high-level proficiency in database skills and current PC applica tions. Database manipulation skills and research skills are a must.

+ Organizational skills to include ability to maintain accurate working files and records, as well as complete project files required. Flexibility to handle multi-tasking and prioritization and meet deadlines.

+ Experience with TMS and LTS databases and reporting preferred.

+ Experience with SPSS statistical software required.

+ Experience using data visualization tools (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI) and Qualtrics is expected.

+ Experience in the application of quantitative and qualitative analyses and research techniques.

+ Experience in market research and competitive intelligence, including working knowledge of market research, competitive intelligence and strategy concepts.

+ Must be familiar with resources other than surveys and focus groups to collect data not readily available.

+ Experience in omni-channel marketing processes, functions, and reporting.

+ Experience with segmentation and testing techniques for marketing channel effectiveness.

+ Experience gathering requirements around KPI, metrics and analytical data collections.
