Position Description:

The Master Product Scheduler is responsible for developing and managing the production schedule to satisfy customer demands. This position will provide schedules based on work center capacities by planning and scheduling workflow for each work center and analyzing production specifications and capacity data. In addition, they will understand sales forecasts, new business opportunities, customer expectations and internal supply constraints while developing production plans. This position requires a strong collaboration with Operations, Sales, Customer Service and Management to meet business goals.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop production schedules to meet customer demands, drive material requirements, and communicate obstacles to management.
  • Review and validate order actions messages and exception messages.
  • Work with the Production Manager to review daily schedule and set targets to ensure master schedule adherence.
  • Ensure efficient operations through careful coordination of material and manufacturing efforts, providing Purchasing, Planning, and Manufacturing timely and accurate information with focus on developing production schedules and priorities to optimize the capacity utilization of AFKS.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly metrics charts and focus on measures of performance to meet delivery performance targets.
  • Analyze and manage the planning and establishment of production schedules, monitoring of materials inventories, tracking of progress of production, and reviewing factors which affect production schedules.
  • Responsible for obtaining and coordinating information (cycle time, cell capacity) to ensure production schedules are accurate, thorough, and maintained.
  • Identify and manage bottleneck / shop capacity opportunities and provide continuous improvement in capacity planning.
  • Attend meetings as needed and report status of current Scheduling concerns and updates.
  • Manage specific and complex projects to ensure schedules are accurate and deliveries are achievable.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibilities.
