DESCRIPTION:
HopeNet mental health licensed therapists provide counseling for emotional healing regulated by
the Behavioral Science Regulatory Board of the state of Kansas.
POSITION GOAL:
Therapists clinically evaluate and provide therapeutic services to clients and their families in
accordance with agency vision and mission utilizing clinical modalities designed to get to the root
cause of dysfunctional cyclical behavior, provide opportunity for emotional healing and incorporate
effective coping strategies for lifelong wellness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counselor licensed by the
BSRB in the state of Kansas. Proof of professional liability insurance. Strong organizational and
computer skills are required. Able to work in multi-disciplinary team environment.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Experience per level:
Level 1: MFT, MSW, PC. New graduate working under a temporary license to practice in the state
of Kansas.
Level 2: LMFT, LMSW, LPC. One year counseling experience under approved plan by the BSRB
in the state of Kansas with at least 50% of hours towards clinical licensure. Experience with at risk
clientele, utilizing a variety of therapeutic tools and techniques preferred.
Level 3: LCMFT, LSCSW. LCPC. Hold a clinical license and in good standing with the BSRB of
Kansas.
Training in Bridges Out of Poverty or certification in EMDR preferred.
NPI (National Provider Identifier) Number; assistance is provided if you dont have one.
TERMS: Full Time Position with HopeNet means 32 hours Monday-Thursday.

for people in crisis, trauma and those dealing with mental health struggles. Our training and
coaching serve as preventative, helping leaders, employers, HR managers know and understand the
signs of mental health distress, create safe and thriving work cultures and help their organizations
become part of the solution to the mental health crisis in our city.
HopeNet takes mental health seriously for our clients and our staff. HopeNet operates under a 4-
day work week (Mon.-Thur.) and is closed on Fridays as well as weekends.

RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY:
Counseling Services
Provide direct therapeutic services for short, moderate and long-term chronic cases.
Clinically evaluate; select and implement appropriate multidimensional assessment,
intervention, and evaluation tools.
Establish and implement client treatment plan.
Increase client crisis management skills and identify sustainable change.
Provide quality client care from crisis to exit.
Provide professional therapeutic services for severe trauma, high risk or at risk cases as
needed.
Provide services conducive to the respect for the familys dignity and uphold relational
values as demonstrated by Jesus Christ.
Apply knowledge and use rationale to critically select relevant theories, assessments and
diagnostic tools for a holistic view as appropriate.
Provide clinical intervention and therapeutic services conducive to the respect for the
familys dignity.
Identify and promote client self-determination and strive to meet treatment goals with cli ent
personal competency.
Provide referrals and coordination of services with outside agencies to ensure
comprehensive and appropriate services.
Complete casework file notes and case management per agency protocol.
Meet or exceed client case load Direct Contact per employment offer and/or employment
agreement.
Effectively communicate professional judgments to supervisor and other professional staff
in verbal and written formats.
Execute process for safety and security of clientele and staff according to agency protocol.
Conduct oneself within the legal and ethical boundaries as appropriate for credentials and in
compliance with certifying entity.
Submit requirements established by Managed Care Organizations (MCO) while
implementing MCO regulations in collaboration with staff.
