Job Title: Millwright Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Millwright Mechanic to join our team. This role supports production lines, equipment, and facilities through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities. The position requires broad-based skills including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, pipe fitting, welding, metal fabrication, and machinery moves such as dismantle, relocation, and installation.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all production and facility machinery and equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and pipe fitting systems.
Utilize a variety of hand tools, testers, and shop power tools to accomplish tasks.
Read and comprehend mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and fabrication prints, layouts, and sketches.
Collaborate with other maintenance associates, engineers, technicians, production staff, and supervisors to resolve equipment issues.
Provide written documentation and reports as requested.
Facilitate and coordinate repair activities with supervisors across departments.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Attend classes and seminars to update skills as required.
Train or instruct others on technical issues and operation of equipment.
Comply with all company policies and safety regulations.
Essential Skills
Minimum two years of experience with manufacturing processes, equipment, and preventative maintenance programs, or equivalent education from an accredited school.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
General understanding of PLC, PLC programming, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, robotics, electronics, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
Adherence to safety standards, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to read sketches, schematics, and diagrams.
Capability to stand, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Lean and/or Six Sigma certification.
Understanding of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.

Work Environment
Our facility spans over 80 acres with multiple buildings, some updated and others more dated. The work environment varies from a quiet office setting to a high-production manufacturing level that requires hearing protection. Employees must be comfortable walking and standing for long periods, and occasionally performing tasks from ladders and manlift equipment. The role involves exposure to varying noise levels and adherence to strict safety policies. Reasonable accommodations are made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55286.00 - $77646.00/yr.
