Job Title: Millwright Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Millwright Mechanics to join our manufacturing facility in Wichita, KS. This full-time position requires expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on various production and facility machinery and equipment. Candidates must be available for multiple shifts, including extended hours. This role offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all production and facility machinery and equipment.

  • Utilize a variety of hand tools, testers, and shop power tools.

  • Collaborate with maintenance associates, engineers, technicians, production, and supervision to resolve equipment issues.

  • Provide written documentation and reports as needed.

  • Coordinate repair activities with supervisors in a customer-oriented manner.

  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.

  • Attend classes and seminars to update skills as required.

  • Train or instruct others on technical issues and equipment operation.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and fabrication prints, layouts, and sketches.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • At least 2 years of related experience.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, sketches, diagrams, and memos.

  • Effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations.

  • Mathematical skills, including converting metric system measurements.

  • Experience operating machinery such as lathes and drill presses.

Work Environment

Our manufacturing facility is very large, spanning 80 acres with many buildings. Some parts of the facility are updated and newer, while others are older and more dated. The work environment varies from quiet office levels to high production manufacturing levels, which may require hearing protection. Employees must be comfortable walking a lot and being on their feet daily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The physical demands include lifting and moving heavy materials, standing, bending, climbing stairs, crawling, and working in various industrial conditions. Specific vision abilities required include the ability to adjust focus and read prints, schematics, and part numbers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55286.00 - $77646.00

Holiday, PTO, Vacation offered.
