Responsibilities and Expectations

1. Mortgage Loan Closing

• Prepare all Consumer Real Estate and HELOC loan closing documents as requested in accordance with loan policy, written approval and compliance rules and regulations (primary)
• Complete Closing Compliance checklist on all loans
• Review files and clear closing conditions
• Coordinate the smooth process of the loan closing and ensure all loans are closed in a timely manner
• Communicate with the Title Company on final figures
• Disburse loan funds by initiating wire amount through bank wire program or disburse by check if needed
• Update loan information in LOS as needed
• Acts as liaison with borrowers/customers, other bank employees, outside entities (realtors, title and escrow officers, etc.) as well as other division staff, to facilitate a prompt, efficient closing of each loan
• Manages pipeline to ensure service standards and financial goals are met

2. Mortgage Loan Compliance

• Review documents for accuracy
• Ensure loans are in accordance with state and federal regulations such as, but not limited to, RESPA, HMDA and Fair Lending Practices
• Keeps informed of the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government-insured mortgages
• Consistently works in accordance to published department sales and service standards
• Benchmark of less than 5% error ratio as documented through Quality Control reports, Internal Audits, External Audits and Regulatory Examination

3. Employee isresponsible for understanding and following the applicable laws and regulations for their job responsibilities including but not limited to Equity Bank Business Ethic and Conduct policy, Bank Secrecy Act, Information security, and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements

4. Perform other duties as assigned, required, or requested

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years mortgage experience
• TRID experiencepreferred
• Experience with Ellie Mae Encompass LOS preferred
• Extensive knowledge of mortgage lending practices and regulations preferred
• Ability to process high volume, time-sensitive transactions preferred
• Detail oriented and well organized
• Able to perform a variety of mortgage-related functions, while maintaining composure
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner :::
