Position Summary

**Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect metal aircraft parts. Uses various measuring devices. Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.
• Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.
• Measures parts and materials for conformance to specifications, using micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Reads and interprets aerospace manufacturing drawings / models including tolerances, customer specification and technical requirements.
• Performs visual, dimensional, mechanical, and optical inspections per work instructions.
• Documents product acceptance / rejection on manufacturing order, processes any necessary rejection documentation and performs various ERP system functions.
• Run COPQ reports for the quality department.
• Coordinates internal RCCA activity.
• Updates the MRB database.
• Follows safety policies.
• Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.
• Other various duties as needed or as assigned.
