Vectrus Network Engineer (Infrastructure) - Secret Clearance in Wichita, Kansas
Overview
Provide support for management of infrastructure devices as required for specific platforms and enterprise applications. Administer the functions and capabilities of the infrastructure and provide as applicable, but not limited to, wing level infrastructures, application configurations, traffic management, permissions management, and data structure management.
Responsibilities
Inspect the router/switch audit logs IAW AF and DoD standards for suspected security intrusions or violations. Report any suspected intrusions to the NOS immediately.
Configure, install, and manage routers and switches within the ANG enterprise.
Work with Wire Shark or other related packet analyzers
Configure, troubleshoot, and manage ANG enterprise wireless access points at all ANG wing locations.
Administer and monitor the Virtual Private Network (VPN), creating tunnels and certifications for all personnel needing access. Install new devices ensuring compliance with DoD and AF policies. Assist in the development and review technical solutions involving the VPN.
Configure, install, and troubleshoot Tactical Local Area Network Encryption (TACLANE) devices on the ANG SIPRNet.
Configure, install, and manage network switches within their AOR.
Provide technical expertise to manage, install and administer the ANG Enterprise Network Voice, Video and Voice over IP solutions.
Provide enterprise level architectural design and modification recommendations to enhance, migrate, and secure the ANG Wide Area Network.
Understanding of Air Force and ANG network systems and processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years work related professional IT experience commensurate with tasks outlined in this service area (preferred).
Current CCNP Certification
Experience:
Experience with creating and maintaining detailed Visio drawings (preferred).
Knowledge of Cisco Prime with demonstrated ability to monitor and maintain Cisco routers and switches and provide reports (preferred).
Knowledge of basic routing technologies (preferred).
Knowledge of IT governance and operations.
Familiarity implementing DISA STIGs

Current Security+ CE or CISSP Certification
Current CCNP Certification
Ability to analyze workflow, establish priorities, and comply with standards to meet, operational deadlines
Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot OSI Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching features, 802.1q VLAN implementations and Shortest Path Bridging (802.1AQ)
Ability to configure and troubleshoot 802.1x switch port authentication via Cisco ISE
Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot router and switch operating system/firmware upgrades and perform assigned upgrades within reported TCNO timeline
Ability to configure and troubleshoot Cisco VPN hardware
Ability to troubleshoot DNS and DHCP
Ability to configure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
Ability to configure network addressing (Sub-Netting, Interface Protocols)
Ability to configure and troubleshoot physical and virtual networks, leveraging IP networking technology (OSI Reference Model, Topologies, Protocols, TCP, UDP, LAN Technologies, switching concepts, VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol)
Ability to configure and troubleshoot Quality of Service (QoS)
Ability to configure and troubleshoot QoS incidents
Ability to configure and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus Data Center technology
Ability to configure and troubleshoot F5 BigIP appliances
Ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Riverbed Steelhead WAN optimizers
Ability to use Riverbed tools to monitor status of individual Riverbed Steelhead WAN optimizers to push policies and configuration changes provide network utilization reports
Understanding of NIPRNET and SIPRNET enclaves, functions, and standards
Knowledge of computer system and network infrastructure operations
Understanding and application of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
Ability to determine how IT systems should function and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes
Knowledge and experience installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications
