Job Description: Job Objectives:Provides oversight of internal human resource (HR) functions for Health and Human Services (HHS) divisions. Also provides oversight of HHS facility needs; HHS contracts; and accounts payable functions. Works closely with Sedgwick County's Legal, Finance, Risk Management, and Facilities Divisions to ensure all needs are met for HHS. Attend and participate in multiple county level groups and meetings for HHS.Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Employee must be able to complete complex tasks by applying standard office policies, authorized instructions, and past precedents to achieve a desired outcome. Essential Job Functions:Direct supervision of three staffProvides training, leadership and coaching to staff, including documenting sessionsEvaluates staff through performance goals and competencies assessing them quarterly and annuallyAssigns, checks and approves work of staffConducts interviews for vacant positions supervised and makes hiring recommendationsApproves staff time and leave requests via e-timesheetEffectively controls programs' operational and functional activities, motivating staff to maximum performanceGood attendance required to provide support to staff and managementProgram oversight of Human Resource (HR) administration for the HHS divisionsOversight of providing HR and staffing reportsOversight of the completion of required HR documents assuring timeliness and accuracyOversight of the employment and volunteer recruitment program for HHSOversight of all disciplinary action and/or termination form completion; also includes Performance Improvement Plan monitoringOversight of monitoring initial probationsOversight of the FML process for HHS employeesOversight of the ADA process for HHS employeesOversight of ergonomic concerns for HHS employeesPoint of contact for Sedgwick County Human Resources, Payroll and Risk ManagementProgram oversight of HHS facilities, contracts and accounts payablePoint of contact for Sedgwick County Legal and PurchasingManages the organizational needs for all facilities for HHS including but not limited to move projects, reorganization requests, and safety/security needs.Manage and provide oversight of all COMCARE contract needs and ensure that contract databases remain up to date.
