Summary: Set up, maintains and operates multiple Automatic Screw Machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Performs own tool maintenance to maintain efficient production and specified quality standards

  • Loads stock into machine

  • Maintains tooling as well as other associated tools

  • Performs new tool tryouts and provides input on new parts and their layouts pertaining to tooling sequence.

  • Makes machine adjustments such as clutch and belts;

  • Keeps machines and work area clean and orderly

  • Reports material shortages

  • Troubleshoot tooling and machine problems and offer solutions

  • Observe al safety rules and supports team objectives

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Capable of performing all operations on assigned automatic screw machines without instructions or supervision

  • Must be able to work a weekend schedule

  • Must be able to work overtime as needed

Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; five to ten years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ten plus years experience preferred. Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions presented in English.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
