Distinguishing Features of Work

This is experienced seasonal supervisory public contact work responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons and overseeing daily operations at OJ Watson Park.

Examples of Work Performed
  • Supervises staff and day to day operations.
  • Completes daily incident and cash reports.
  • Patrols the park grounds.
  • Serves as liaison between the staff and Park Manager.
  • Operates cash register.
  • May perform custodial work.

  • Other related duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements of Work
  • Ability to listen to, read, interpret and apply instructions received
  • Ability to plan, organize and supervise the work of others
  • Ability to lift empty containers weighing up to 50 lbs. up to a 4-foot height
  • Ability to lift and move large, sometimes bulky objects weighing up to 80 lbs. with assistance
  • Ability to move about quickly, and stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop or squat, as needed to perform assigned tasks
  • Ability to work outdoors in unpleasant weather conditions
  • Ability to tolerate airborne nuisances associated with open grounds and windy conditions
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the public
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • An employee will not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
Required Experience and Training

Required Experience and Training

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Must have a valid Kansas driver\'s license.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of a sponsorship

Previous Experience and Training\ \

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Previous experience in supervisory or leadership role.
  • Previous experience with Cash handling.
  • Previous experience in maintenance work.
