Job Purpose and Impact
The Plant Product Lead will conduct master planning, material requirements planning and production planning for our team assigned to a group of production locations. We seek a professional who will contribute to setting goals and objectives that ensure overall integration of manufacturing and planning policies, processes and programs.The role interacts with various stakeholders across the business and customers to provide optimal service to customers while optimizing Protein Group resources to deliver expected product line and business results. Areas of responsibility will be focused on the launch of new product introductions and technical expertise on plant processes and products. This role will require travel to various plant sites.
+ Analyze plant capacity and production requisition data to resolve imbalances between manufacturing plans and required resources.
+ Maintain data relevant to master production, production scheduling and material requirements planning activities including planning calendars, material data and location data.
+ Provide necessary input to supply planner to support integrated business planning.
+ Create and publish a master production plan, material requirements plan and production schedule to support integrated business plan.
+ Provide direct input to setting master production, production scheduling and material requirements planning metrics targets.
+ Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
+ Other duties as assigned
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain or Continuous Improvement with a proven track record of strong performance results
+ Deep Product expertise on assigned product/platform
+ Deep Plant expertise on assigned plant locations
+ Demonstrated operational and technical knowledge including technical requirements, capacities and costs
+ Understanding of costing systems and product costings
+ Knowledge and experience MOC processes including new product start-up and implementation processes
+ Hands on experience in operations and new product introductions is strongly preferred
