Responsibilities
Purchasing Professional Overview: Spirit AeroSystems’ Supply Chain Management Organization is responsible for the procurement of all materials and services. The company has contracts and agreements in place with top-tier suppliers across the globe. A Purchasing Professional at Spirit is responsible the procurement of key components that feed the Spirit assembly lines. Procurement Agents have responsibility for various pieces of the purchased component life cycle including requirement identification, sourcing, order placement and receipt/ delivery to the assembly line. Our teams ensure we have the right part, at the right place, at the right time.
Key Accountabilities:
Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
Develops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and awards contracts, and manages post award supplier activities.
Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Manages inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry
Knowledge of MRP Systems, SAP preferred
Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent Data analysis skills a plus
Knowledge/experience with/in manufacturing and manufacturing process a plus
Ability to effect change
Driven to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or other relevant course of study related work experience
