Job Title: Production Control Supervisor

Job Description

As a Production Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of orders through the operation to ensure on-time delivery of orders. You will also maintain the organization’s inventory to ensure accurate records of all procurements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise team to meet company expectations of safety rules and regulations, quality standards, customer satisfaction, productivity, and on-time delivery.

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of production planning and scheduling.

  • Conduct timecard approvals, disciplinary actions, performance counseling, terminations, 90-day and annual reviews.

  • Track records, safety, production, attendance, performance appraisals, and disciplinary performance and report to Director of Operations.

  • Work with Production Supervisors, Quality, and Sales related staff to ensure on-time delivery of orders throughout the production schedule steps.

  • Act as liaison between sales staff, management, planning, and production staff by communicating all schedule deviations and items to be addressed.

  • Manage and maintain inventory system; facilitate upgrades to database and ERP software with the direction of purchasing or the Director of Operations.

  • Manage weekly, periodic, and annual physical inventory audits.

  • Operate a forklift truck when necessary.

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining.

  • Excellent communication skills with operations’ employees, salespeople, and managers.

  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.

  • High level of organization and capable of working with minimum supervision.

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & Outlook.

  • Experience with computerized inventory systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience in metals and/or machining environments preferred.

  • Experience in a management role preferred.

  • Forklift experience preferred.

  • 5 years of manufacturing supervisor experience preferred.

  • preferred.

Work Environment

This role is based in a production and machining facility, primarily dealing with aviation parts. The position involves working in a dynamic environment with various physical demands such as sitting, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance. The work hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends if deadlines need to be met.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

PTO offered after 6 months of employment. 6 months they get 72 hours of PTO

Holiday pay for 1 month of hire. (9 paid holidays) Thanksgiving and day after, Christmas Eve and Day, New Years Eve and Day
