Job Description
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process within a production facility. They ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely, while meeting quality standards and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers, ensuring that they follow safety procedures and production schedules
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to meet production targets
- Ensure that quality standards are met and that products meet customer specifications
- Identify and troubleshoot production problems, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Train and develop production workers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively
- Maintain accurate production records and reports, and provide regular updates to management on production performance
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and maintenance, to ensure that production equipment is maintained and repaired as needed
- The ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
