job summary:
A Production Technician is needed for a company that delivers photonics innovation to enable breakthrough advancements in technology that transform the way the world connects, creates, and interacts in the Wichita, KS area. The role involves supporting production through calibration and maintenance of test equipment, performing repairs, following ESD requirements, and preparing technical reports.

responsibilities:
Support production functions and use automated test equipment for calibration and verification by product line.
Maintain and make necessary adjustments to test units.
Determine material or replacement needs, develop repair methods, and perform repairs.
Follow established Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) requirements.
Maintain records related to electronic and electrical equipment.
Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as needed from testing.
Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions.
Meet daily/weekly On-Time Shipping (OTS) requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills:
Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
Team player and detail oriented.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
2 to 4 years of experience required
