Orizon Aerostructures Programmer 2 in Wichita, Kansas


Summary: Design and verify needed tooling and processes to build aerospace structures and parts using Catia, NX, and Vericut.

Responsibilities Level 2:

Perform responsibilities associated with a Level 1 Programmer as well as the following:

  • Design tooling and processes per the established programming plan for mid-level 3 and 4 axis part complexities.

  • Design tooling and processes per the established programming plan for basic 5 axis part complexities.

  • Provide support to Level 1 Programmers as needed.

  • Participate in a minimum of 20 hours of Continuing Education per year

Qualifications Level 2:

Must meet all the education, experience and skills of a Level 1 programmer as well as the following:

  • Must be proficient in 3 & 4 axis Programming in either NX or Catia within the Aerostructures industry.

  • Must be able to program 3 & 4 axis without direct supervision

  • Must be able to perform 5 axis programming with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to achieve “First Pass Yield”, programming hours, and cycle time within budget

  • Must be able to build Vericut projects in order to verify CAM processes.

  • Must be able to create work holding designs for programs that they’re writing.

  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Actions).

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe tools to create Operation Instructions, Setup Sheets and Work Instructions.
