Inspects products for dimensional accuracy and surface defects. Inspects and tests finished products and incoming parts to ensure that specifications are met. Performs quality checks/tests on products at various stages of production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned as required or needed.
+ Measures dimensions.
+ Examine product for defects.
+ Identifies and handles nonconforming product per company procedures.
+ Office responsibilities as designated.
+ Evaluates fabricated or mechanical production parts or modules against standards by reviewing blueprints and specifications and using measuring tools.
+ Inspects finished or in-process fabricated or mechanical parts, equipment, and assemblies and determines acceptance or rejection.
+ Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; Blueprint reading; shop math; knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC); Ability to make determinations on products meeting engineering, specifications and guidelines; Ability to read and properly use most precision measuring equipment; proficient in MS Office software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good verbal and written communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate problems or concerns to management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic shop math and ability to read measuring instruments.
REASONING ABILITY: Good logic and ability to make sound decisions; Maintain a professional work atmosphere by being courteous, respectful and non-interfering with customers, co-workers, and management; Read and understand blueprints and both technical and non-technical documents as they relate to product design, manufacture, and test.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Inspection certification may be required to perform certain tasks/functions.
