Position Summary:

The QA Inspector II performs appropriate in-process and final inspection of machined aerospace parts and assemblies to insure compliance with engineering and work instruction requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Determine and utilize appropriate inspection methods and instruments (micrometers, height gauges,

  • air gages, Radius gages, calipers, CMM, etc.) to complete in-process and final inspection of machined

  • aerospace parts and assemblies, including simple to moderate layouts and setups on a surface plate.

  • Initiate nonconformance records and process parts not meeting requirements. Complete first article

  • inspections to AS9102 and company/contractual requirements.

  • Continually strive to improve inspection effectiveness and efficiency by identifying and supporting

  • Implementation of process improvements.



  • High School or GED required; Associate's degree (two year college or technical school. preferred); Field of Study NDT

  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and following planning documents, standards and specifications,

  • Strong math skills

  • Organized - possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of perfroaming a task.

  • Ethical - Ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards

  • Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

  • Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety

  • Honest/Integrity - Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace

Work Enviornment:

Includes both a typical office and shop environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise, hazards or adverse environmental issues, including exposure to heat, cold and inclement weather conditions.
