Aerotek Quality Inspector in Wichita, Kansas
Hello! We are currently hiring for Quality Inspectors here in Wichita, KS!
Pay Rate:
$25 - $35 per hour.
Location:
Wichita, KS, 67215.
Shift:
- 1st shift - 5am - 1:30pm
Description:
Operate, program, and calibrate Faro arms, including performing daily SPC layouts, and measure any detail part that may be brought to QA Metrology for inspection.
Utilize GD&T print knowledge to accurately interpret complex prints and create measurement processes that reflect print requirements. Proofread complex prints and request corrections or callout specification changes.
Setup, operate, and program the DEA CMM using PCDMIS software.
Use a wide range of manual precision tools including calipers, micrometers, protractors, and optical comparators to complete measurements and analysis.
Participate in World Class Manufacturing programs and projects.
Required Skills
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of experience within a Quality Assurance capacity in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Ability to read, write, and comprehend blueprints (including GD&T), instructions, and short correspondence memos
Proficiency in using precision measurement and inspection tools and gauges
Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and statistically based software packages and/or databases
Strong mathematical skills in Geometry and Trigonometry
Ability to make precise and accurate measurements using advanced mathematics skills
Physical ability to stand, lift, push, pull, climb, squat, sit, lean, twist, extend, reach, bend, and grasp to accurately measure fixtures, components, and assemblies
Technical experience preferred
Strong blueprint reading skills
Process-oriented experience with the ability to address issues logically and systematically
Ability to manage change, handle diverse and difficult situations, and manage multiple activities simultaneously
Effective prioritization of work tasks and requirements
Ability to communicate results and technical information effectively in both written and verbal formats to various parties including Operations, Engineering, Suppliers, and Management personnel.
Maintain a professional demeanor and demonstrate integrity as a QA representative, using a data-based approach to issue investigation and treating colleagues with respect.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
