Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
The QA Metrology Specialist/Faro Arm Operator will aid in the plant’s focus on Quality Assurance by operating Faro Arms to inspect assemblies and ensure conformance to specification. The Specialist also utilizes advanced mathematical concepts to interpret and review complex print documents.
Responsibilities include:
• Operate, program, and calibrate Faro arms, including performing daily SPC layouts. Also, able to measure any detail part that may be brought to QA Metrology to be checked.
• Utilize GD&T print knowledge to accurately interpret complex prints and create measurement processes that exactly reflect print requirements. Proofread complex prints and request corrections/callout spec changes.
• Setup, operate, and program the DEA CMM that uses PCDMIS software.
• Use a wide range of manual precision tools including calipers, micrometers, protractor, optical comparator, etc. to complete measurements and analysis.
• Participate in World Class Manufacturing programs and projects.
