Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) and using Inspection Expert Software. You must be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints for small to mid-sized parts in a machine shop environment. This role primarily involves desk work, where you will complete all reporting. The goal is to complete 2-3 FAIs daily.
Responsibilities
Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) on small to mid-sized parts.
Use Inspection Expert Software for reporting and documentation.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Conduct quality inspections using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
Ensure quality assurance standards are met.
Complete 2-3 FAIs daily as a target.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2-3 years of quality inspection experience in the aviation industry.
At least 2-3 years of FAI reporting experience.
Minimum of 2 years of bench level inspections, preferably in a machine shop environment.
Proficiency with Inspection Expert Software.
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
Experience with quality inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a machine shop environment is preferred.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Work Environment
You will work in a machine shop with about 50 employees, specifically in the small quality department. The dress code is casual with jeans and t-shirts. The position follows a first shift schedule from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional overtime may be required, usually limited to a few hours on a Saturday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
