Job Summary:
The Research and Development Technician will work with facets of the Engineering Test Lab to support all brands for the development of new products, evaluation of existing and competitive products, and evaluation of proposed design changes to existing products. A minimal amount of local travel may be required. This position will:
Evaluate consumer good products in a lab environment
Report directly to the Director of Product Development
Require the ability to work effectively with others to obtain results

Technical Leadership
Assist in the development of technical documentation and methodology related to product development.
Identify and implement new testing technologies and methodologies.
Problem Solving
Applies data as a subject matter expert (SME) in cross-functional teams to pursue creative solutions to product-critical challenges and roadblocks.
Participates in brainstorming and ideation sessions to develop product solutions.
Communication
Preparation of reports documenting compliance with specification requirements.
Work with 3rd party labs to perform required testing.
Organizational Agility
Collaborates in efforts across the organization to leverage best practices, expertise, and shared resources.
Work with various departments to problem solve product issues or develop new test plans.
Technical Mastery
Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory testing equipment.
Ability to operate testing equipment.
Perform new product development testing assigned and specified in the definition of the specified protocol.
Capable of producing repeatable test results.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic computer skills, Windows, MS Word and MS Excel
Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
Previous experience in a lab or testing experience preferred
Demonstrates work experience in a team environment with good communication skills
Demonstrates proven ability to handle the development of multiple projects (7+) simultaneously
Demonstrates evidence of strong problem solving skills including identifying problems, potential problems, and developing solutions
