Meritrust Credit Union Real Estate Relationship Manager in Wichita, Kansas

Through frequent Realtor and other referral partner contacts in the field, and under the direction and management of the Director of Real Estate, provide Realtors/referral partners with Real Estate related customer service, training and support to enhance the competitive position and further the business interests of Meritrust.

The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned as necessary.

  • Develop strategy to target new referral partners

  • Identify and recruit potential Realtor referral partners throughout the service area.

  • Train Realtors/referral partners and their staff on Meritrust finance programs, processes and procedures.

  • Schedule and attend Sales Meetings, Sponsored Events, Lunches/Appointments,

  • Act as liaison for Realtors with respect to Meritrust to help with questions/concerns over originating new mortgage loans from the application process through to servicing.

  • Provide analysis of loan originator sales/production performance including Realtor referrals, branch referrals, and competitive comparisons, to promote increased and sustainable production.

  • By observation and insightful analysis, obtain competitive information for Meritrust with respect to product developments, competitive advantages, issues, trends, innovation, etc.

  • Communicate Meritrust’s position on Real Estate lending to branch managers and branch personnel regarding products, guidelines, and policies in a manner that promotes support and understanding of the credit union’s Real Estate business.

  • Promote membership and expand utilization of products and services by attending networking and education events/meetings.

  • Promote products and services by attending events at industry organizations such as RSCK, MAR, LBOR, WABA, etc.

  • Proactively support the Realtor and other referral base with personal visits, phone and electronic contact on a consistent and verifiable basis.

  • Work with each loan originator to meet their specific productivity goals.

  • Provide Director with plan suggestions, goal awards/incentive programs for the originators and other staff.

  • Research and rectify any and referral partner concerns/complaints.

  • Maintain confidentiality in all credit union and referral partner matters.

  • Present a positive, successful image of the credit union through a professional appearance and courteous attitude.

  • Be available to referral partners/credit union employees as mandated by the Director.

  • Travel for related activities is expected to be approximately 75-80% of the work month.

Knowledge of real estate / mortgage operations.

Excellent interpersonal and people skills.

Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.

Must be able to meet deadlines and establish objectives.

Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

Excellent analytical and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to effectively manage time and territory.

Must be proficient in computer software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc.

Knowledge of lending practices to include fundamental understanding of state and federal laws governing mortgage lending.

Three years sales experience in real estate/mortgage industry with Realtor connections preferred.

Completion of high school with diploma required. College degree preferred.
