Description

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Researches and develops recruiting strategies to target and recruit top talent. Recruits, screens, interviews, selects, and places job candidates best suited for requirements as indicated on the employment requisition. May also be responsible for managing the college internship program by partnering with functions throughout the business and ensuring a positive experience for the intern and the business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute recruiting plans to support hiring strategies.

  • Network and develop rapport with colleges/universities, community organizations, industry contacts, trade groups, and employees.

  • Partner, educate and consult with hiring managers and HR Leaders on recruitment process, strategy and expectations; including background checks. Work with managers to build an understanding of open positions and departments.

  • Determines applicant qualifications by utilizing behavior-based interviewing and assessment techniques, analyzing responses, verifying references, comparing qualifications to job requirements and present pre-screened candidates to hiring managers.

  • Assess potential candidates for fit within the position identified; including: skills, education, experience, competency, and cultural alignment.

  • Participate in hiring events/ career fairs to source candidates.

  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding and enforcing regulations related to fair recruitment practices (Complies with all federal, state, and company policies and procedures such as OFCCP, EEO, ADA

  • Duties may also include serving as the primary point of contact for the internship program, responsible for developing and executing all intern events and timelines to include, but not limited to: orientation, networking panels, community volunteering efforts, farewell event, etc. In addition, will serve as the business unit liaison for enterprise-wide internship coordination, including the end of intern program matching process.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Business, or related field

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to interface with all levels of employees, including, senior management

  • Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to use discretion in dealing with confidential information

  • Comfortable in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities

  • Maintain strict confidentiality with employee information

  • Must work independently with minimal guidance and manage workload/priorities as appropriate

  • Ability to interview active and passive candidates and provide basic assessments

  • Bias for action to complete numerous phone calls daily with active and passive candidates

  • Verbal and written communication skills in a professional business environment (grammar, spelling, ability to communicate with varying levels of professionals, vocabulary, and comprehension)

  • Bias for customer service – proactive communication to customers and team members, delivers on commitments, and is knowledgeable and accurate regarding expertise

  • Demonstrated aptitude to work with and on internet-based services (Google, Linked In, Career Builder, Facebook, Twitter)

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word – document editing, form letters, Excel – tracking, basic formulas, sorting/filtering, Outlook – manage volumes of candidate communications, calendar appointments, templates, workload organization, Power Point – basic development of presentations

  • Maintain professional relationships and commitment through contribution, flexibility, and positive attitude

  • Certified Internet Recruiter training- AIRS preferred

  • Includes travel 15%
