Provide customer service and information to citizens pertaining to real estate documents. Updates and maintains ROD RMS database. Works with department to maintain and update data for use by the public and other land records departments.

Maintaining and updating data in RMS

  • Process documents pertaining to land records that meet statutory requirements
  • Work with department to ensure data entered into RMS is accurate
  • Communicate with other land records when document processing is completed
  • Record and retrieve DD214 military service records upon request

Has a basic understanding of how to provide the public with access to available resources

  • RMS
  • GIS/Aumentum
  • How to use Grantor/Grantee Books
  • How to use and make copies with the film readers
  • Assist with less complex document copy requests
  • Assist with retrieving less complex documents from vault archives

Has a basic understanding of how to provide public with information on Recorded documents

  • Deeds
  • Mortgages
  • Other documents pertaining to Real Estate

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. One to two years customer service experience. Take ROD Deputy II certification test within 90 days. Position may be filled by the Registrar at his/her discretion and as needed for the functions of the office. Use of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in use of Microsoft Office.
