Assumes responsibility for the leadership of the Nursing Department during non-business hours. Facilitates management of staffing and patient flow functions to assure safe and appropriate patient placement.
What qualifications you will need:
Current Licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Current Multi-State Licensure as a Registered Nurse, required.
Current Basic Life Support(BLS) verification course through American Heart Assoc. and American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR, required
NIH Stroke Survey Certification course within 90 days
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS)within90 days
Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam, preferred.
2 years’ experience, required
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, required
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Required Knowledge a nd Skills
Ability to utilize the nursing process in the provision of nursing care including, but not limited to, administering treatments and medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating a plan of care, collaborating with other health care providers and providing education to patients and/or significant others
Ability to multi-task, delegate, and prioritize
Possess problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to collaborate with other health care providers
Ability to educate patients and/or significant others
Ability to communicate effectively
Possess personal computer skills
