Sales Associate Position:

Sales Associates begin their careers at Cargill in many different businesses including Protein, Grain and Salt. As an associate, you will collaborate and build relationships with colleagues and clients who represent diverse work, culture and resolution styles. Associates will participate in a sales training program to prepare you to become an expert in the industry. You will gain hands-on experience by working on various projects in a number of areas with Cargill employees to learn skills and gain knowledge necessary to succeed in a sales leadership role. This role will allow you to understand and explore Cargill’s full range of products, specific to your business, solve customer problems and create new opportunities.

Job Locations:

  • Field or office setting

  • Various U.S. locations - must be open to relocation

  • Movement from an associate role to an experienced sales position may require additional relocation

  • Frequent travel by personal vehicle within assigned region for meetings with customers, prospects and other Cargill personnel. You must have a safe driving history; a motor vehicle record history will be reviewed


Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited program graduating between December 2018 and May 2019

  • Willing and able to relocate anywhere within U.S.

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer

  • Ability and willingness to travel, as needed

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures

  • Ability to contribute, both as part of a team and individually

  • Strong communication skills – written and oral

  • Must be able to complete essential functions of this job as outlined in the job description with reasonable accommodations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited program with a major in Agricultural Business, Ag Econ, Ag Management or similar agricultural discipline graduating between December 2018 and May 2019

  • Previous intern or co-op experience

  • Overall 3.0 GPA or higher preferred

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with ability to influence decision-making

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience
