Lyft Salesforce Architect in Wichita, Kansas

We’re currently looking for a Salesforce Architect to enable our business to business sales team who are focused on improving people’s lives with the world’s best transportation through our customer relationships with enterprises, healthcare and many more. Reporting to the Manager, Sales & People Technology, Salesforce Engineering Team is responsible for defining and executing our sales technology strategy. You will work collaboratively with our sales partners to identify opportunities for leveraging technology to optimize the CRM process, improve operational and strategic decision-making by leveraging holistic view of Lyft’s customers, and enhance our competitive position in our market. You bring previous experience allowing the sales technology team to look around corners, and transition from a reactive delivery team, to a business enabler. Responsibilities:

  • Drive enterprise wide programs articulating program/project strategies on enabling technologies leveraging the Salesforce Platform.

  • Identify and drive the Lyft’s organizational needs for Salesforce foundations, define the business or technology architecture, plan how large projects will be delivered, oversee the solution design and implementation.

  • Effectively drive user experience and design strategies across Enterprise for platform adoption.

  • Advise and mentor diverse teams and product groups on resources in technical and functional delivery aspects at a program level, using influence and adaptive communication strategies.

  • Lead large cross-team system design discussions, offering alternate choices, trade-offs, and impact analysis with a focus on long-term solutions.

  • Provide guidance on application and integration development best practices, Enterprise Architecture standards, and functional/technical solution architecture, including environment management, testing of the Salesforce Platform.

  • Provide evidence-based design patterns for development of solutions on the Salesforce platform such as managed vs unmanaged packages, config vs low-code vs code, custom build vs native/appExchange offerings.

  • Drive the adoption of best engineering development practices across multiple Salesforce Orgs and promote the creation of application and technical design documents that align with Salesforce best practices and seamless integration into Lyft's infrastructure.

  • Possess deep understanding of native Salesforce features and functionality, as well as the ability to model a role hierarchy, data model, and appropriate sharing mechanisms.

  • Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives to grow the Salesforce adoption and return on investment, and serve as an active contributor to engineering.

  • Identification and proactive management of risk areas across the enterprise, and commitment to seeing an issue through to complete resolution.

  • Lead assessment of architecture environment and requirements and design sound, scalable, and high-performing solutions on the Salesforce Platform that meet the Single Sign-on (SSO) requirements.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8+ years experience implementing or building solutions with enterprise software.

  • 8+ years of experience developing business applications in Salesforce suite of tools.

  • 8+ years of experience with Salesforce Web Services APIs like SOAP and REST-based Web Service APIs, the Bulk API, PubSub API, Tooling API, and the Metadata API.

  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, System Architect and Application Architect.

  • Experience with design and building on multiple Salesforce offerings such as Core, Tableau, MuleSoft and Marketing Cloud.

  • Strong Salesforce integration skills, integrating Salesforce with Boomi or other middleware products.

  • Experience leading implementations across different countries and data requirements.

  • Experience in technical strategy and owning projects from end-to-end.

  • Expertise with data management: structured and unstructured DBs, SQL and RDBMS technologies, SOA design principles.

  • Experience in understanding large code bases, including API design techniques.

  • Experience with CI/CD solutions that live on the Salesforce platform such as Copado, Autorabbit, etc.

  • Knowledge in UI/UX, which can be reflected in your work.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the latest technology such as bots, GenAI and machine learning.

The expected base pay range for this position in the [Location] area is $118,080 - $147,600. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
