Position Summary & Responsibilities\ Position Summary: This position provides direct clerical support for the VR Counselors in completing their work. Takes calls from clients, vendors, and other organizations, and either assists the caller or ensures that the call is directed to the appropriate staff member. Assists with client intakes obtaining all required information, explains the VR Program and schedules appointments with Counselors. Assists walk-in consumers, which frees up time for other support staff to complete work assignments and assist Counselors. Compiles files on new applicants\

Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.\ Preferred Qualifications: Two years experience in general office, clerical, or administrative support work.\ Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Security Clearance: A background check (KBI - criminal background, welfare fraud, driver\'s license and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check.
