Job Purpose: Performs the daily operations of shipping/receiving by performing the\ following duties. Works under minimal supervision of the Shipping/Receiving\ Inspection Supervisor.
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\ 1. Verifies package contents are in accordance with the packing lists/purchase orders\ sent with every package. Identifies and notates any discrepancies in the\ paperwork. Locates all rush/hot items and expedite them accordingly.\ 2. Receives instruments and generates work orders after determining whether the\ instrument is a returned core, or a customer owned unit to be serviced. Notifies\ correct departments of any discrepancies and or hot/rush items. Delivers all\ instruments to the proper departments after completion of work orders.\ 3. Constructs appropriate box and demonstrates attention to detail in capping,\ bagging and wrapping of the instruments per customer specifications. Seals\ boxes, applies labels and encloses packing lists, and data sheets. Determines\ M.O.S., (method of shipments), and place packages in correct locations for pickup.\ 4. Collects all couriers tracking invoices, packing lists and purchase orders for the\ Accounting Department.\ 5. Verifies and coordinates return packaging list with instruments. Coordinates the\ appropriate paperwork and information to be typed into courier data base to\ generate label, tracking number and waybill and closing of the courier data base\ for shipping invoices.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to operate the\ equipment used in the department, including but not limited to the computer,\ courier data base, copy machine, paper machine, and postage machine.\ 7. Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner and to develop and\ maintain strong working relationships with co-workers and supervisor.\ 8. Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.\ 9. Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to\ supervisors direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.\ 10.
