Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, menu planning, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in catering and food service management, with exceptional leadership and culinary skills.
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute menus for various events and occasions, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection of dishes
Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency
Monitor food production to meet customer demand while minimizing waste
Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen area
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate catering services for special events
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
Qualifications:
Previous experience in catering, menu planning, and food service management
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary principles
Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality food products
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
